The original fireplace dominates the open plan kitchen living room area, fantastic for cozy getaways in the cooler months. It's thick stone walls and cool tiled floors protecting you from the hot summer heat.
Well equipped kitchen area, with everything that you need for a holiday in the countryside, including a coffee machine! Downstairs you will also find a small WC.
Upstairs is the bedroom with double bed, private countryside views and lovely wooden shutters, spacious clean and tidy. Plenty of wardrobe space and an open plan bathroom with bath over the shower, adjoining the bedroom.
You can enjoy country views from every window of this little house upstairs and down, all overlooking your own meadow, instantly relaxing, you will feel at home as soon as you step foot through the door.

La Maison de Pres is well situated and within 3 km of all local amenities such as an excellent bakery, not to be missed!, a butchers, florist, cafe, a choice of wonderful restaurants, a beauty therapist, various antique stores, a hairdressers and a small local brewery. You can also walk to the supermarket which is 2 km away, it is an Intermarchè which is well stocked and has fuel and car washing facilities.
Hautefort is around 1hour and 20 minutes (51 miles) from Limoges airport, other airports which serve the Aquitaine region are Bergerac (Flybe), Bordeaux (Ryanair), Brive-la-Gaillard( Ryanair), and Toulouse ( various). A car is necessary to visit this region not only because of the lack of public transport such as trains and buses but to fully enjoy the region it is important to explore the rural areas! Drive time from Calais is approximately 8 hours.
