The house is ideally located in a peaceful setting close to the many delights of the Dordogne. Easy reach of beautiful villages and towns, prehistory caves, numerous chateaux, gardens, rivers and lakes. Even by France' standards the Dordogne is exceptional with more Les Plus Beaux Villages than any other department in France. As well the house is only minutes from the Entry/Exit 17 of the A89 autoroute capable of expanding your day trip options in all directions. A huge advantage for those houses in this area of the upper Perigord Noir.
Interior layout Traditional French country kitchen with large dining table and access to the courtyard where there is also ample space for al-fresco dining. On the ground level there is also a living room, shower room, quad bedroom and a double bedroom with en-suite. On the first floor there is a further double bedroom.

The charming village of Bord is 3km away from Saint Rabier which will provide your local boulangerie, cafe/bar and a nice restaurant. The town of Terrasson is approximately 13km away and provides all the local amenities you would associate with a medium sized French town - a choice of supermarkets, restaurants, DIY stores, canoe hire, weekly markets etc. It is also a rather attractive town to wander around. Popular attractions can be found in nearby Montignac, Hautefort and the thriving tourist hotspot of Sarlat La Caneda is a 40min drive south. Aside from the main attractions, the surrounding countryside is littered with charming villages and quintessential French rural charm.
The property is located 8km from junction 17 of the A89 autoroute so is easily accessible by car. Full directions will be provided on booking.
The property is located on a small lane in the village. Cars can be driven to the door to unload luggage but should then be parked beside the small water reservoir in the centre of the village. This can be found 30 seconds walk from the house and you can't miss it.
